THE Princess Royal has today paid a visit to one of Herefordshire's leading companies.
The princess arrived at Kingspan Insulation Limited earlier today for a tour of the Pembridge factory where she saw a new production line being built that will make a brand new insulation product called Optim-R.
Among the people the princess met was laboratory technician Diane Markey who demonstrated experiments to show the technologies and chemical reactions used to develop Kingspan insulation products.
The princess unveiled a plaque to commemorate the visit and spoke to staff representatives from the production lines and offices.
School teachers and pupils from primary schools based in Kingsland, Shobdon and Pembridge met the royal visitor before her departure.
There will be more on this story in next week's Hereford Times.
