THE finer details of a scheme set to bring almost 200 homes to land just outside Hereford have been submitted.
Outline permission has already been granted to build 190 properties off Holywell Gutter Lane near Hampton Bishop in a scheme that will also provide Hereford Rugby Club with a new home.
The development has been controversial with Hampton Bishop Parish Council taking the matter to the Court of Appeal.
The Claremont Property Group has this week submitted reserved matters plans to Herefordshire Council, joining Bloor Homes which sent in similar plans for the site in June.
The outline plans for the new ground and 190 new homes won the Court of Appeal’s support last summer.
Three judges rejected Hampton Bishop Parish Council’s challenge to the plan, landing the parish council with a hefty legal bill.
The development was originally given outline approval by Herefordshire Council’s Planning Committee back in 2012.
Claremont says the scheme will feature 16 one-bedroom, 28 two-bedroom, 45 three-bedroom, 85 four-bedroom, and 16 five-bedroom homes.
The rugby part of the scheme, which has also received outline permission, features a main grass pitch, all weather sports pitches, a clubhouse, indoor training building, car parking and landscaping.
A reserved matters application for this is expected to be submitted at a later date.
