A HOUSING developer has pulled out of a scheme set to bring almost 200 homes and new rugby facilities to the outskirts of Hereford.
Bloor Homes says it has "regrettably" withdrawn from the development near Hampton Bishop which would provide Hereford Rugby Club with a new home.
The scheme, which has outline permission, is still alive though with the Claremont Property Group submitting a reserve matters application earlier this month.
"Bloor Homes have been involved with the Hampton Park Road site since 2010," said a Bloor Homes spokesperson.
"Despite using best endeavours to work with the landowner to bring the development forward, regrettably Bloor Homes has now withdrawn from the scheme.
"Bloor Homes has, and continues to enjoy good working relationships with Herefordshire Council and Hereford RFC and Bloor wish the rugby club every success in the future in the delivery of their relocation plans.
"Finally, Bloor Homes remain committed to Hereford and we are actively working on schemes which will deliver circa 1,500 new homes in the city."
