POLICE are appealing for witnesses to a head-on crash between a lorry and a car on the A40 near The Lea.
At 6.45pm yesterday there was a crash between a silver Subaru Impreza, which was travelling towards Gloucester, and a lorry, travelling in the opposite direction.
A blue Vauxhall Vectra is also believed to have been involved, which ended up in a hedgerow.
It was the second crash on this stretch of the A40 within 24 hours.
The driver of the Subaru- a 21-year-old-man- sustained serious head and leg injuries.
The 37-year-old lorry driver was uninjured.
Officers are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the crash or saw any of the vehicles prior to the collision.
