A GOLDEN Valley village will be hosting its annual sloe gin competition this weekend with locals fighting it out to be named Grand Master of the Sloes.
Now in its seventh year, the Dorstone Sloe Gin competition is taking place at 8pm on Saturday at The Pandy Inn situated in the village.
There are three different categories being marked by pubgoers which include: 2015 sloe gin, vintage sloe gin and other fruity tipples.
Last year's competition saw 41 entries from across the country which were all tasted and scored by over 50 brave judges.
All entries will be judged in a blind-tasting format.
The pub's new owners James and Lisa are keen to support this local tradition and will be serving bar snacks throughout the evening.
If you would like to enter or judge the entries, then go along to the Pandy on Saturday evening.
