A HAY-ON-Wye building company gave the Prince of Wales a guided tour around their latest project last weekend.
Staff of Splitlath Building Conservation Ltd met Prince Charles at their £3 million build on the grounds of William Shakespeare's former residence in Stratford-upon-Avon.
New Place is the former home where Shakespeare wrote most of his plays until his death.
The visit was part of the celebrations to commemorate the writer's birth and death.
Company director Nathan Dimbylow said: "The Prince was very impressed and said that he will return when the works, which include new oak frame, historic frame repair and phosphor Bronze trees!
"It's a great project for us as we're based in Hay-on-Wye which is known for its books connection.
"When it's finished he's going to come back and have a look at the completed job."
