HEREFORD FC have tonight won the treble in only their first season - with the FA Vase now in their sights.

The Bulls beat Walsall Wood 3-1 in the final of the Polymac Packaging Midland Football League Cup at Solihull Moors.

Hereford had to come from behind to win the game after Louis Harris put Walsall Wood ahead in the 19th minute.

But Mike Symons equalised with a great strike in the 36th minute before Ross Staley struck a minute before half-time.

Hereford even had chances to increase their lead before the break, but Walsall Wood goalkeeper Adam Jenkins did brilliantly to deny first Staley and then Jamie Willets.

Hereford sealed the win through substitute Mustapha Bundu four minutes from time.

The trophy success follows hot on the heels of Hereford winning the Midland Football Legaue Premier Division and the HFA County Challenge Cup.

The attendance at Solihull was 849, but more than 18,000 will be backing the Bulls at Wembley in just 12 days time.

Should Hereford beat Morpeth Town, it would complete a season that not even the most optimistic of fans would have dreamt of.

There will be plenty of FA Vase Final previews in next week's Hereford Times
