A SMALL explosion at an electricity substation left more than 2,500 Ross-on-Wye residents without power this afternoon.
Fire crews were called at around 1.40pm following the incident, which is believed to have been caused by an underground cable fault, on Tudor Rise.
Two fire engines from Ross attended and discovered there had been a small fire which had burnt out.
It resulted in about 2,700 properties being left without power but a spokesman for Western Power Distribution said it has now been fully restored.
