OWNERS of a family farm have been left amazed after their pet alpaca gave birth to twins despite the chances of it happening being one in 100,000.
Staff at Wynne's of Dinmore, located between Hereford and Leominster, have recently welcomed the arrival of male and female alpacas named Thumper and Bambi.
Emily Wynne, whose family own the farm said that despite the chances of them surviving being slim they are both happy and healthy.
She said: "It's difficult to tell anyway when alpacas are pregnant so we would have never though that their mother Flo would have two.
"They have been getting on brilliantly with the baby goats they share an enclosure with. Alpacas are naturally a herd animal so get attracted to the goats as if they are the same breed and they have been playing together.
"Alpacas generally get a lot of attention from our customers and we have just been making sure they are okay. "Sometimes their mother has been struggling so we've had to bottle feed them."
Other attractions at the farm which is open from Tuesday to Sunday include pigs, goats and poultry.
