THERE is going to be a crack-down on dog owners who do not clean up after their pets in Ross-on-Wye.
Cllr Hannah Lerego told Ross-on-Wye Town Council that there has been an ongoing problem with dog fouling at Ross Sports Centre in Wilton Road.
She said: "They drive there, let their dogs out and the dogs foul, before the owners drive away again."
Cllr Lerego said an enforcement officer will be taking photos of the dogs and noting the registration number of the car, so that fines can be issued.
All dog owners have a legal duty to clean up after their dog. Failure to do so could result in a Dog Control Order with an £80 fixed penalty notice, or a maximum fine of £1,000.
