A CASE which was brought to court following the work of vigilantes has been dropped.
Hereford's Simon Lawson was charged with attempting to meet a girl under 16 following grooming.
But the 37-year-old, who was also charged with two counts of attempting to cause or incite a 13-year-old girl to engage in sexual activity, was this week acquitted.
He was arrested in October 2016 following a sting operation by the vigilante group, The Hunted One, in Hereford County Bus Station.
Mr Lawson had denied the allegations before all the charges were dropped when the CPS offered no evidence at a hearing at Hereford Crown Court yesterday.
