Work by local artist Molly Bythell has been selected to be featured in FBA Futures 2018, Mall Galleries’ annual exhibition showcasing the outstanding art graduates of 2017, selected from across the country by the Federation of British Artists (FBA).
Now in its seventh year FBA Futures is becoming the go-to place to discover emerging figurative artists early in their careers.
The exhibition will be an exciting mix of degree show and newly made painting, sculpture and original prints, all exploring contemporary figuration and ideas of representation.
FBA Futures maps new practices from British Art Schools, inviting audiences to discover emerging talent and experience new work. The exhibition includes work not just from mainstream art schools but also from atelier models (Heatherleys and LARA) and alternative postgraduate programmes (Open School East and Turps Banana).
FBA Futures alumni have gone on to be selected for the BP Portrait Award, New Contemporaries and the Griffin Art Prize Residency and other successes. With further support from sponsors Minerva, this year's exhibition will be the largest so far, featuring nearly 40 artists.
FBA Futures 2018 can be seen at The Mall Galleries in London from January 10 to 20, 10am to 5pm daily, free entry.
