A RUNNER allegedly assaulted two 11-year-old children in a busy street in Hereford.
Police said that on Wednesday at about 4pm a jogger knocked over a child in Holme Lacy Road and, after a verbal row, assaulted two children (including the child he knocked over).
Officers would like to speak to anyone who witnessed this incident.
Police said one of the children was grabbed by the throat and the other was punched.
The mother of one of the children, Lyndsey Jones, said both of the children were in Bishops' school uniform.
She said her son was "shaken up."
The jogger is described as a white man, between 35 to 50-years-old with a slim to average build and a grey/white moustache. He was between 5ft 4in to 5ft 9in tall.
He is believed to have been wearing a neon cap with a coloured neon vest under a dark jacket, possibly with purple marks on the sleeves. He also had on dark tracksuit bottoms, and possibly a snood which covered his chin.
