A 17-YEAR-old boy died in a crash on Dinmore Hill yesterday.
A white Yamaha motorbike and a silver Toyota Landcruiser crashed at around 2.30pm on the A49.
The motorbike was travelling towards Leominster and the Toyota was travelling in the opposite direction when they crashed.
The rider of the motorbike - a 17-year-old boy - suffered fatal injuries.
His next of kin have been informed and a file is being prepared for the coroner.
The driver of the Toyota was uninjured.
The A49 was closed until around 11pm.
Two ambulances, a paramedic officer and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford with a MERIT trauma doctor on board attended the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “The motorcyclist, a man, suffered multiple serious injuries and was in cardiac arrest.
"Ambulance staff took over CPR efforts by bystanders and performed advanced life support on scene. Sadly, despite the best efforts, nothing could be done to save the man and he was confirmed dead a short time later.
“The driver of the car, a woman, was treated for the effects of shock and discharged at the scene.”
Police are keen to speak with anyone who saw the incident, or who saw the vehicles and the manner in which they were being driven prior to the collision.
Anyone with information is asked to call West Mercia Police on 101 quoting incident number 339S of 11 January.
