ONE of Hereford's biggest employers has this week made a number of job cuts.
A total number of 16 people have been affected by the changes at Special Metals Wiggins.
David Dugan, Director of Communications, said the Holmer factory is making "staffing adjustments due to redundancies in certain positions".
The business, which employs 600 people in Hereford, has worked through the consultation process with the trade union.
"Some employees have sought other open positions with the company, and the management team has worked to accommodate the transitions with the aim of minimising job losses," Mr Duggan added.
"Whilst an unfortunate necessity in the near term, the company continues its strong focus on serving its customers and further growing its business."
