Hereford Police Male Choir’s next musical evening is at the Shirehall on Saturday, April 28 (7-30pm) when they will be singing for the Mayor, Cllr Sharon Michael at a special concert to raise money for her two chosen charities.
The first is Herefordshire branch of the National Autistic Society and the other the not-so-well-known ‘Blood Bikes’, a team of volunteers who deliver life-saving blood to hospitals in an out-of-hours courier service who need a specially adapted motor bike to be based in Hereford.
Joining the choir is Kington born harpist Glenda Allaway, 23 and now based in London where she is in big demand by orchestras and music producers. Also on stage is teenage singer Rosa Bennett whose grandfather, the late Brian Williams was secretary of the police choir from its foundation in 1957 until his death last year. In its 60 years of music making the police choir has raised more than £1m for charity.
Tickets available from Off The Wall, St Peters Street, Jim Jenkins on 07766 145460 or on the door.
