THREE people were taken to hospital following a two-car crash on the A49 at Leominster.

The crash, which saw one car leave the road and end up down a verge, took place by the the Cadbury's factory roundabout at Marlbrook on Friday at around 6pm.

A fire crew from Leominster attended, as did police and the ambulance service.

An ambulance spokesman said two men in their 20s were in the red car. He said one of the men, a front seat passenger, got out himself. He had sustained a fractured arm - it was splinted and he was given pain relief.

The other man had rib pain and was able to get out of the car through the window. He was also given pain relief.

While an elderly woman from the white car was complaining of neck pain. She had multiple injuries and was taken to hospital as a precaution.

All three were taken to Hereford County Hospital.
