A HEREFORDSHIRE MP’s wife wants to convert a barn into a house near Ross-on-Wye.
Applicant Milly Wiggin, wife of North Herefordshire MP Bill, has asked Herefordshire Council for prior approval to convert an existing stone cattle barn at Felhampton Farm in Upton Bishop.
The barn is about 200 yards to the east of the farm and is accessed via a pre-existing track that leads off the existing drive to the farmhouse.
The applicants say minimal exterior demolition is needed and the existing barn roof will be maintained.
All major openings will be kept and fitted with doors or glazed panels.
Window holes for one bedroom, kitchen area and two bathrooms will be created which will be in keeping with the style of the barn.
The property will need a new water main and sewerage system while heating will be provided by a new condensing oil or gas boiler.
