A BODY has been found in the river Severn in Worcester.
The emergency services began arriving at around 2.50pm to recover a body from the river near to Quay Street.
Police say the death is currently being treated as unexplained and the investigation is on-going.
A witness said there had been boats out at the scene, with an ambulance on the path above the river, on the Worcestershire County Cricket Ground side.
Police put up cordons blocking entry to the path, as well as the other side near the Browns restaurant, telling people to stay away.
At one point there were two ambulances, police cars and vans and boats at the scene.
The police cordons was lifted at about 5pm, as the emergency vehicles left exiting on to New Road.
