A MAN found lying unresponsive near Belmont Pool has been confirmed dead.
Ambulances were called at 7.25am on February 17 to reports of a man found lying in a field near the pool.
An ambulance service spokesman said the man was found by a dog walker who called for help before commencing CPR until the ambulance arrived.
Paramedics carried out advanced life support at the scene and the man was taken to Hereford County Hospital, but was confirmed dead shortly after.
A police spokeswoman said: "We were called at 7.30am yesterday morning to a concern for welfare of a man near Belmont Pool, Hereford.
"The ambulance service was also in attendance.
"Sadly the man, believed to be in his sixties, was later pronounced deceased.
"The death is not currently being treated as suspicious."
