A SECOND high school in Herefordshire has confirmed a pupil has tested positive for coronavirus.
A year 8 pupil at Queen Elizabeth High School in Bromyard has tested positive, with the headteacher telling pupils to go to school as usual unless they are told to self-isolate.
In a letter to parents, head Martin Farmer said he did not think this would be the only case at the school.

"We have been advised by Public Health England that there has been a confirmed single case of Covid-19 within the school, specifically in Year 8," he said.
"We are continuing to monitor the situation and are working closely with Public Health England.
"This letter is to inform you of the current situation and provide advice on how to support your child. Please be reassured that for most people, coronavirus will be a mild illness.
"The school remains open and providing your child remains well they can continue to attend school as normal unless they have been instructed otherwise. We will keep this under review."
The confirmed case at the Bromyard school, in Panniers Lane, comes after a pupil at Whitecross Hereford High School also tested positive.

Mr Farmer added Queen Elizabeth was told of the case this morning (Wednesday).
"Since the start of the new term our students have been amazing and have done all that we have asked," he said.
"However, despite all the controls we have in place, the reality of the virus is that it can be spread in a variety of situations and amongst young people who show no symptoms.
"Since learning of the confirmed case this morning. we have reported the confirmed case to the local outbreak control team and to Public Health England (PHE) and worked with PHE to risk assess the school and identify those individuals who need to isolate in accordance with government guidance.
"Due to the large number of cases being reported in schools across the country, this has taken some time and I apologise for not being able to share this information sooner.
"Following the risk assessment the school is open as normal for all students in all year groups unless they have been told to self-isolate.
"We will continue to monitor the situation closely and keep you informed.
"This may be the first confirmed case in our school but unfortunately I suspect it will not be the last.
"Throughout the weeks and months ahead we will be making online learning available and will continue to remain open for as many students as we safely can."
