A REVOLUTIONARY project used by Hereford's Royal National College for the Blind (RNC) has scooped a major award.
Robobraille, which transforms text into braille or mp3 files via email within minutes, has proved very popular at the Venns Lane college and is used across Europe.
The system, funded by the European eTEN project, won the Social Contribution Project Award at the BCS (British Computer Society) IT Industry Awards in London.
The RNC joined the project, which is operated from Denmark, in 2005 and was involved in its official launch in June 2006.
