A BUSY main road near Hereford was closed this afternoon after a car fire.
A car was on fire on the A438 in Bartestree, near the village hall.
Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service (HWFRS) were called to the scene at 1.28pm, and said that the car was "well alight".

A spokesperson for HWFRS said: "A small vehicle was on fire. The vehicle was well alight and the fire was fought using two hose reels with one firefighter in breathing apparatus. Water supply from a hydrant was also used.
"After the fire was extinguished, further dampening down took place and the road was reopened in one direction. The incident was marked as pending closure at 2.27pm."
The owner of the car said that this was an electrical fire.
There were no casualties, and no other emergency services were called to the scene.
