A DRINK-DRIVER from Hereford who was caught out behind the wheel of a Ford car while over the limit has been banned.
David Scholey entered a guilty plea to one count of driving while over the alcohol limit when he appeared before magistrates in Hereford this month.
The court heard from prosecutor Lauren Millichip that the 44-year-old from Hereford had been caught out on the B4348 in Thruxton after getting behind the wheel of a Ford Focus while over the drink-drive limit in August last year.
He was given a blood test and was found to have 110 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres of blood. The legal limit is 80.

Scholey, of Grosvenor Place, was banned from driving for 12 months and fined £250, with his guilty plea taken into account by magistrates.
He was also ordered to pay £135 in court costs and a £100 victim surcharge which is used to help fund services supporting victims of crime.
He has the opportunity to reduce his ban by three months if he completes a drink-drive awareness course.
