A DRIVER has been fined by magistrates after blocking a pelican crossing in Herefordshire.
Jordan Crowther pleaded guilty to one count of stopping a vehicle in a pelican crossing controlled area.
The court heard that the 31-year-old had stopped his car on a pelican crossing near his home in Leominster, on September 18 last year.
The car causing the obstruction was a Renault, and Crowther was said to be the driver of the vehicle.
Crowther, of Bridge Street, Leominster, was fined £116 for the offence at Worcester Magistrates’ Court on April 11, but was also ordered to pay prosecution costs of £90 and a £46 victim surcharge, which is used to help fund services supporting victims of crime.
