CHILDREN’S charity Megan Baker House has a new chief executive.
Lee Gough takes on the role three years after joining the Leominster-based organisation as a fund-raising manager.
Trustees’ chairman John Mair said: “Lee’s first hand knowledge of the work we do, and the avenues to follow in efforts to raise the kind of money we need to build further, will stand her in good stead as she leads Megan Baker House into this new and vital phase of our future.”
Her appointment comes after the charity’s founder Jo Baker Watson – who opened the centre for cerebal palsy sufferers in memory of her daughter, Megan, in 2001 – stepped down last month to let others take the organisation to the next level.
Mrs Gough said: “I want conductive education to become ingrained in the psyche of British people and accepted as a key step forward for those for whom taking a step forward can be very difficult indeed.
“The staff at Megan Baker House are extremely dedicated in helping all those in need of our services achieve their full potential and I feel privileged to be working alongside them.”
