A MEMORIAL erected on behalf of the SAS was set alight on the site of its former base in Hereford.
The statue, in Staddlestone Circle, was set alight at about 8.25pm last Friday. The dagger sculpture, which is made of fibreglass, is situated on a green surrounded by a housing estate built after the SAS moved to Credenhill.
Three youths have been arrested and are on bail pending further enquiries. Anyone with information can call PC John Gilbert at Hereford Police Station on 0300 333 3000.
