TRAINS were disrupted this morning because of cows on the line.
The animals were seen between Hereford and Ledbury and services between Hereford and Birmingham were disrupted as a result.
The 8.49am service from Birmingham New Street was forced to terminate at Worcester Foregate Street with stops at Malvern Link, Great Malvern, Colwall, Ledbury and Hereford cancelled.
London Midland said the 10.40am service from Hereford to Birmingham New Street will now start from Worcester Foregate Street and will no longer call at Hereford, Ledbury, Colwall, Great Malvern and Malvern Link.
Travellers were told the herd had got on to the track through a fence which had been knocked down, and rail staff had not been able to locate the farmer who owned the animals.
