THE manager and team from the Edinburgh Woollen Mill and Ponden Home located at Wyevale Garden Centre on Kings Acre Road recently organised a successful fashion show.
The show was held at 2.30pm on April 28 to raise awareness and funds for the Alzheimer's Society.
Invited to the occasion was the mayor and mayoress of Hereford as the society is one of the mayor's chosen charities. A total of £232 was raised during the day but the fundraising continued over the subsequent weekend so it promised to be far greater.
There was lots of support from local business's making donations for a free prize draw. Friends, colleagues did the cake bake and staff at Broomy Hill Home also attended and baked cakes for the event. The Hereford Lions provided the seating and organiser Gail would like to thank them all for their support.
