TWO suspects dressed in close fitting cat costumes - one with distinctive tail - have beaten and robbed a man in Hereford early this morning.
Detectives are studying CCTV footage of an attack that ranks amongst the most bizarre crimes ever committed in the county.
Both suspects came out of the College estate at around 5.20am this morning (Mon) to pounce on a man walking to work at the nearly Special Metals plant in Old School Lane.
Security cameras at the plant captured the "cats" pushing the man into a concrete post and kicking him once he's down to rifle his bag for cash and a set of keys.
The pair then ran off up Old School Lane towards the Pegasus football ground.
Detective Sergeant Tim Powell said one suspect was dressed in a "camouflage" looking costume with a distinctive tail, the other is in a burgundy costume. Both costumes came with "cat" ears.
