Car '100 per cent' destroyed by a fire in Redditch
A FIRE completely destroyed a car following an incident in Redditch in the early hours of this morning (Friday, May 18).
Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crews from the town’s station were alerted to the blaze in Icknield Street at about 12.30am.
On arrival to the scene the crews were faced with a car which had been “100 per cent” destroyed by the flames, but the firefighters were able to extinguish the wreckage using a house reel jet.
After putting out the fire, the crews left the incident in the hands of West Mercia Police to arrange recovery of the car.
