AN excellent 5-3 win by Ewyas Harold Reserves against Sinkums in Division One of the Hereford Times Herefordshire Football League has netted them this week's team of the week award.
The victory has probably ended Sinkums chances of winning the division, while at the same time giving them a great chance of not finishing in the bottom two places.
Woofferton also lose on Tuesday night – going down 2-1 at home to Wellington Colts.
It means Holme Lacy are well on track to win the division.
The other match that took place on Tuesday night saw Fownhope Reserves draw 2-2 against Hinton Reserves.
On Saturday, Wellington Colts came through a nine-goal thriller against Orleton Colts Reserves – winning 5-4 – while Bromyard overcame Tenbury Town 3-2.
Hinton Reserves beat Ewyas Harold Reserves 2-1 and Woofferton came from behind to beat Kingstone Harriers 2-1.
In the Premier Division, Orleton Colts thrashed Pegasus Reserves 5-0 on Tuesday night, while Westfields Reserves beat Hinton 3-3 and Fownhope narrowly overcame Lads Club Reserves 1-0.
Fownhope also had a good win on Saturday, hammering Ledbury Town 5-0, while Tenbury United comfortably beat Pegasus Reserves 5-2.;
Tenbury have secured second position in the division, while it's between Fownhope and Ewyas Harold in the race to finish third.
Ledbury Town Reserves are overwhelming favourites to win Division Two, with their latest success being a 6-4 win against Kingstone Rovers on Tuesday night.
Ledbury – who beat Withington 5-0 last Saturday – are three points clear of Hereford City, with Weobley a point further back.
But both Hereford City and Weobley have played more games than Ledbury.
Last Saturday, Weobley beat Hereford City 4-2, thanks to a hat-trick by Jarred Canning.
Dore Valley currently occupy fourth place following a 4-2 win over bottom club Burghill on Tuesday night.
Other mid-week matches saw Holme Lacy Reserves and Leominster Town Colts earn 2-0 wins against Civil Service and Shobdon respectively.
Last Saturday, Shobdon drew 2-2 with Dore Valley, while Civil Service shared the same scoreline against Kingstone Rovers.
