HEREFORD FC are up to second in the Evo-Stik South Premier after two storming performances this week.
The Bulls easily disposed of St Ives Town 4-0 on Tuesday night, which came on the back of a thumping 5-0 win over Hitchin Town.
And with Slough dropping points at Banbury, Hereford are now just four points behind leaders King's Lynn with a game in hand.
Bulls manager Pete Beadle was delighted with Tuesday's win, with two big cup matches coming up.
"I thought in the first half we were excellent again and carried on from Saturday," said Beadle.
"When teams put five across the back line, it’s always difficult to break them down.
"But once we got the second and third goals, we kept the ball really well and third goals, we game was done.
"It was really hard to raise them for the second half and on another day, we may have got a couple more goals.
"But with nine goals in two games and two clean sheets, we're more than delighted."
Hereford have shared the goals around them, with new loan singing Tyrone Duffus scoring three goals in two games, Lance Smith getting a hat-trick against Hitchin and John Mills scoring twice against St Ives,
Duffus had to be substituted on Tuesday after coming off with a hamstring injury.
But Beadle hopes it's not serious.
"We'll see how he is on Thursday, but coming out of under-23s football, he's had two games in a week and he's played ever so well in both of them," said Beadle.
"So hopefully it's nothing too serious, but we will see."
Like he did on Saturday, Duffus opened the scoring against St Ives with a header from a corner in the 17th minute.
Mills then struck twice in the 33rd and 38th minutes, with substitute Mike Symons sealing the win 12 minutes from time.
