HEREFORD midfielder Lawson D’Ath  made his debut during Hereford’s 2-2 draw against Buxton on Monday and made some key blocks during the match in which the Bulls scored two late goals to rescue a point.

Speaking afterwards he said: “It was nice to be in a team that showed that fighting spirit to get two goals back and could have won it at the end.

“The gaffer here was in for me a while back, but Banbury didn’t accept it. Banbury rang Hereford on Wednesday for whatever reason, it’s a great club here and I’m really excited.

“It could be a really good thing if I do well, show my worth and maybe for next season as well.

“I can play anywhere in midfield really. I try and get on the ball and make things happen.”

D’Ath confirmed that he had not trained with the side before their league match against Buxton.

Hereford have also signed attacking midfielder Alex Babos for the 2024/25 campaign.

Bulls boss Paul Caddis said that he joins Aurio Teixeira and Lewis Hudson contract for next season.

“Ideally we would get more, but there has been a bit of a halt on that at the moment,” said Hereford boss Paul Caddis.

“Everyone is aware of what we want to do and we don’t want a re-build. We’re trying to move on as many as we possibly can.”
