THE ladies section at Ross-on-Wye Golf Club competed for their first medal of the season with the Little Weston Cup recently.

Twenty one ladies played, with Allison Charles coming first with a nett score of 78. In second place was Victoria Northcott with 80, while Diane Martin finished third (83). Sally Fycun had the best gross score of 98.  

Some 23 ladies played in the Front 9 hole Medal which was won by Karen Mirfin with a nett score of 35.

Ellie Teasdale came second with 40 and in third place was Eileen Cooper with 41 points. Teasdale had the best gross score of 50.

Eighteen ladies played in the H and J Salver Club Greensomes over 16 holes.

Martha Norton and Helen Shaw came first with 27 points, followed by Kerry Welding and Hannah Keir in second place on countback from Lois Price and Katie Stooke with 26 points.

Sixteen ladies played in the Front 9 hole Stableford which was won by Allison Charles and Karen Mirfin with 14 points, followed by Lorraine Fenner and Ellie Teasdale in second place on countback from Ros Ashton and Jane Baldwin with 12 points.

The 2023 lady captain Katie Stooke chose the West Midlands Air Ambulance Charity for her charity and presented them with a cheque for £2,684.
