HEREFORD will be represented in the 2009 British American Football League (BAFL) - even though the city doesn’t have a team.
Hereford lads Matt Milsom, Kieran ‘Kiwi’ Helps, Gary Williams and Kyle Jones will turn out for the Gloucester Banshees.
Milsom, Helps and Williams were all members of the now disbanded Hereford Chargers.
The Banshees are delighted to have been included in the BAFL and are expected to be placed in Division 2.
Club administrator Jim Byrne said: “With the playing skills of the lads from Hereford, the Banshees can look forward to great things in the coming campaign.”
The club’s coaching and administrative staff are working to improve the team’s already impressive facility at the Oxstalls Indoor Tennis Centre in Gloucester.
Details on the Banshees are available from administrator Jim Byrne on 01452 306120 or head coach Mo Myers on 01452 729950.
