JAMIE Cuss is to join Kington Town on loan as the Hereford striker battles back from a serious injury.
The former Westfields player needed a major operation after sustaining a career threatening knee injury last season.
He returned to full training with Hereford earlier this campaign and came off the bench for the Bulls' HFA County Challenge Cup victory over Tenbury United.
But Cuss is a long way from forcing himself into Pete Beadle's plans on a consistent basis and has therefore joined West Midlands (Regional) League Division One side Kington in order to get some game time.
However, Kington manager Sam Bowen says it will be a gradual process and Cuss will be on the bench for the first few games.
"Because of his injury and having had a serious injury myself, he won't be starting on Saturday," said Bowen.
"I'm going to ease him in.
"I went to watch him against Tenbury and myself and Beads [Hereford manager Pete Beadle] have been talking about it since.
"Jamie is more than happy to come and we think it's a good fit for us both.
"It might take him a month to get back into things or six weeks, who knows, but hopefully he will go back to the first team at Hereford having scored the odd goal for us."
Kington have a massive home game against bottom club Willenhall Town this Saturday as the Yellows battle to stay up.
"It's a massive game, but we've got players coming back from injury like Jake Robinson and Tom Murphy," added Bowen.
