A RECENT meeting heard that Little Birch residents are “desperate for a decent broadband service”. Please help us improve our broadband infrastructure for communities in south Herefordshire.

If enough households pledge buying a full fibre service from their internet provider, the Government will fund the infrastructure upgrade required to the Wormelow exchange. Any full-fibre infrastructure build will only happen if enough households use their pledge – benefitting the whole community.

A good broadband service is crucial to modern life and has proved difficult to secure in some of our rural areas. This is an opportunity to secure vital broadband infrastructure build for the whole community that will not come around again for a while. Some closer to the Wormelow exchange currently receive a good service and see little need to improve the infrastructure – but for those on the edge of the exchange broadband provision is abysmal.

For the sake of the whole community, I would ask all residents on the Wormelow exchange to use their pledge now, before we lose the chance, and ask the Government to fund an upgrade for everyone.
