The Farm Conservation Award
We all have a responsibility to look after our environment which is composed of complex and interlinking systems of flora and fauna that together maintain an essential balance. Over the years, extensive damage has impacted our countryside and farmland with large areas of ordinary countryside and familiar species rapidly disappearing.
It is therefore essential that this aspect of biodiversity is safeguarded for future generations before it is too late.
The Farm Conservation Award category is therefore open to all farm businesses who proactively utilise sensitive and sympathetic farming practices to encourage, protect and conserve the species and habitats on their farmland whilst also producing quality food.

Has the entrant/nominees approach future-proofed the farm, local environment and the farm business generally ?
