A BMW driver from Herefordshire has been fined by magistrates after she was clocked at almost 100 miles per hour on the A40 in Powys.
Kirsty Rea entered a guilty plea to magistrates in Llanelli.

The court heard that the 26-year-old had been caught breaking the limit while behind the wheel of a BMW 420 in a 70 miles per hour zone on the A40 Brecon bypass at Brecon in Powys on July 21, 2022.

She had been clocked on laser equipment travelling at 99 miles per hour in the 70 zone, the court was told.
Rea, of Dorstone in Herefordshire, was fined £273 and received six penalty points for the offence, with magistrates saying they had taken her guilty plea into account when deciding upon the penalty.
She was also ordered to pay prosecution costs of £90 and a £109 victim surcharge, which is used to help fund services supporting victims of crime.
