COUNCIL - Almeley Parish Council meets in the village hall today (Thursday) at 7.30pm.

CHURCH - The charity shop in Kington High Street will be open in aid of St Mary’s Church from tomorrow (Friday) until November 9.
Volunteers are required for the autumn tidying up in the churchyard, and in the church to assist in brass cleaning. Please meet at 10am on November 14.
BELL RINGING - Practices are held on alternate Fridays at Almeley and Eardisley churches from 7.30pm. Further details from Sandra Payne on 01544 340645 or John Hope on 340276. Congratulations go to John who celebrated 60 years of ringing on October 19.
MEMORIAL - As reported in the October Offa Tree News, Almeley has a unique war memorial. Over the years the site has been cared for by the late William and Roger Baldwin. The Mokler family continues to clean the statue of the fallen soldier.
Recently, former resident Bobby Wood donated a commemorative brass plaque to be placed on the railings of the memorial.
