MARKET - There is a table sale and produce market on Saturday, 10am to 11.30am, at Bodenham Parish Hall. Entry free. Sellers arrive from 9.40am with garden produce, preserves, greetings cards, woodwork, baking, sewing or just anything. KNIT-IN - Bodenham Romania Support Group has a knit-in at 14 Brockington Road next Thursday, December 13, 2pm-4pm. New knitters are welcome. There are no costs involved and wool can be provided. Thanks go to everyone who has knitted or crocheted and helped with the OCC shoeboxes, clothes and blankets for Romania and Nepal. Their help has been much appreciated.
FLICKS IN THE STICKS - The next film will be Hugo, on December 14 at 7.30pm in Bodenham Parish Hall. Doors open at 7pm.
Admission £4 on the door. Refreshments available during the interval. Suggestions for future screenings are always welcome.
CAROLS - St Michael and All Angels’ Church invites everyone to outdoor community carol singing at Broadfield Court in Bowley Lane, 6pm-7pm on December 20. Mulled wine, orange juice, sausage rolls and mince pies will be served. There will be no charge, but donations for The Children’s Society will be very welcome. CHRISTMAS BINGO - Tomorrow (Friday), Lugg Valley Friends Cancer Research UK invites everyone to Christmas bingo in Bodenham Parish Hall from 7.30pm for an 8pm start. There will be a new caller this year, plus lots of prizes including gift vouchers, together with raffles and refreshments.
FIRE - Firefighters were called to an electrical fire in Bodenham on Sunday. Crews were sent at 10.15am and used a CO2 extinguisher to tackle the flames.
