COUNCIL - Liz Morawiecka has stood down as chairman of Breinton Parish Council, but will continue as a councillor and deputy to new chairman Tony Geeson. Liz has been chairman for two-and-a-half years, and earned thanks for her tireless work over that period. Councillors were advised of the recent death of Bryan Walker who had been a parish councillor until May 2011.
There was some debate over the state of the lanes in Breinton. Recent weather has exacerbated the situation, but the councillors advised that it was even more important for landowners and residents to ensure hedge clippings and other debris are cleared off the lanes as soon as possible, and not left to block drains. There are several tasks that will be reported to the lengthsman and Amey to improve the safety of the lanes.
Discussion on the Code of Conduct, standing orders and the 2013/14 precept will continue at the December meeting.
