A ROAD crash victim wants to track down the mystery good samaritan who rescued her as her car dangled 15 feet above a freezing river.

Eighteen-year-old Abbii Clinch says she can’t remember whether she thanked the ‘white van man’ who came to her aid after leaving the A456 at Little Hereford in icy conditions.

The A-level student was on her way to Ludlow College to sit an exam when she came into collision with a bridge and spun into oncoming traffic before coming to rest on a bank overhanging the River Teme.

“I just remember looking down and there was a river beneath me," said Abbii.

“I was beeping my horn and then a really nice man in a white van helped get me out.

“I just wanted to say thank you to him because I can’t remember if I did at the time.

“If he had not come along I don’t know how long I’d have been there.”

She said her knight in shining armour was in his 20s and worked for a window cleaning business as she remembers him calling his boss.

Remarkably, the teenager still sat her law exam after a relative gave her a lift to college.

“Hopefully the adrenalin has got me through it," she added.
