QUIZ NIGHT - The Mordiford school PTFA presents a quiz night on Wednesday evening at the Mordiford school hall. Doors open at 7pm with the action starting at 7.30pm.
Teams of a maximum of four are welcome to enter and entry which includes a hot supper, is priced at £6 per person. There will be a bar available for drinks.
Tickets available from the school office and all proceeds will go to Mordiford School PTFA.
DRAW WINNERS - The draw for the 200 Club in aid of Mordiford church took place at the Moon Inn on March 1. First prize £90 Laura Bullock, 2nd £60 Lee Baker, 3rd £30 Margaret Reed.
Renewal of membership is due by March 31, at 50p per week (payable in one sum of £26). 40 per cent of all monies received will be paid back in prizes. Draws are held on first of each month.

PARISH NEWS - The parish council was pleased to hear that the lease negotiations for the area of land in the village opposite the Moon would soon be completed; plans are being made to make this area into a useable space to possibly include flower tubs, a bench, and shrubs. The Moon was registered as a community asset which ensures that if the pub were to be sold at some point in the future the local community would be given the opportunity to raise funds and purchase it. Potholes: if you spot any dangerous potholes please phone 01432 261800. The parish council unanimously supported the planning application to erect 12 affordable houses at Sufton Rise.
Annual Parish Meeting: At Mordiford School on April 2, 7pm – this is a meeting of residents to discuss parish matters.
Bodenham Flood Protection Group have agreed to give an talk on the work that the group does.
All residents are encouraged to attend.
