VILLAGE MARKET - The village market takes place tomorrow (Friday) in Much Birch community hall, signed just off the A49, between 2.30pm and 4.30pm, when the usual local suppliers are being welcomed. These include award winning Squeaky Pig, producers of rare breed pork and sausage (including gluten free, made to order); award winning Moor Meals, producers of dexter beef, ready meals and pies; Jane Symonds, representing Llandinabo Farm Shop, bringing chicken, duck and lamb; Castle Cheese; Mr G’s chutneys, jams and pickles; and there will also be a vegetable stall.
Dan will be there to sharpen tools and knives. There is a Fairtrade stand too. Refreshments and takeaway cakes are made and sold by Chris and Peter, all proceeds of which will go to Macmillan Cancer Support.
The craft table will be back next month.
The market supports local producers, who work hard to bring local produce almost to the door.
