THE Courtyard will host the second Court Laughing Comedy Festival from June 7 to 9, with Phill Jupitus, Rich Hall and Josh Widdicombe headlining.
#CourtLaughing Comedy Clubs on Friday and Saturday nights are sponsored by Bulmers and feature, on Friday, Scottish comedian, writer and television presenter from Edinburgh, Iain Stirling, joined on the line-up by Robin Morgan – shortlisted last year for the BBC Radio 2 New Comedy Award.
Saturday night brings Carl Donnelly, winner of the Chortle Best Newcomer 2007 award, and a regular guest on Radio 4’s Loose Ends and exciting new stand-up comedian Mark Cooper- Jones, one third of the highly acclaimed sketch group, WitTank MC for both nights is Manchester comedian Hayley Ellis, who’s been going from strength to strength since she began performing in 2009.
Afternoons are funny for the kids, with James Campbell serving up his one-man show for children over six on Saturday afternoon and comical singing ventriloquist Kieran Powell giving a unique twist to songs ranging from big band classics to recent chart hits.

The Courtyard is currently looking for bands, solo artists and DJs to entertain in their festival marquee from 4pm on each night.
