IT seems as though the freezing cold weather is being felt by more than just us mere humans.
The coldest March for decades and a freezing start to April have brought about problems for all creatures great and small.
One farmer has got around the chilly spring by knitting to help newly-born lambs to keep warm.
Jill McAree made navy blue fleeces for the 13 new arrivals at Knapp Farm in Trumpet.
Elastic around the back of the jackets ensures the fleeces never fall off the young beltex breed lambs.
The freezing nocturnal temperatures still mean the lambs return inside at night – but at least they can explore the great outdoors during the day.
And it seems the fleeces are proving a hit. Jill has lent more of her fleeces to a friend in Tregoyd and, she says, there is no sign that she will be getting them back any time soon.
