TWO people have been arrested following the theft of a charity box in Leominster.
Police arrested a man and a woman in Burgess Street on Friday afternoon following the incident at Aladdin’s general stores at 7.15pm on Thursday night.
It's understood the arrest was made after members of the public saw CCTV images posted on a social networking site.
Around 25 people helped to detain two alleged suspects in the street before the police were alerted by owner Susan Williams.
Mrs Williams said: “It was absolutely amazing to have all this community support.”
The charity box, which contained around £30 to £40, was positioned in memory of former employee Rachel Carpenter who died from a bleed to the brain.
