LEOMINSTER Priory Church is set to welcome more than 100 visitors when it hosts a one-day conference on church tourism later this month.
Organised by the diocese of Hereford, the Church of England in Herefordshire, South Shropshire and parts of Worcestershire and Wales, the conference on April 25 – Small things BIG difference – will feature a number of seminars and hear from several speakers.
It is the first time Hereford diocese has held such a visitor-focused conference but it is recognised as being at the forefront of church tourism nationally.
Co-organiser Anni Holden said: “We are really pleased with the response so far and we still have a couple of weeks to go.
“We are working with the Shropshire and Herefordshire Churches Tourism Groups and the neighbouring dioceses of Lichfield and Worcester so we were confident people would come to this rural area but it is now shaping up to be an excellent day.”
The cost to attend is £45 for the first person who can take a friend for free.
All are welcome and bookings can be made online at hereford.anglican.org by clicking on the Small Things BIG Difference link in the centre of the page.
